WATER DRAGON FEST
The portside Town of Elmina is holding their annual Water Dragon Festival in honor of the Water Dragon Waka. Water Dragon Waka is a known foodie, so there will be a cooking competition held by the city lord as well as a variety of street vendors set up to celebrate the festivities. Additionally, the royal family of Valeria will be holding a hunt in the nearby Pouring Rainforest in honor of this event. This forest is controlled terrain so they will be releasing captive beasts into it. Choose. Do you want to help or hinder with these activities? The choices are yours.

night had fallen over celes city, but, it was far from peaceful. not with some ridiculously named group running around, stealing good dreams and terrorizing people's sleep. as an avid napper and advocate of always 'sleeping enough,' elysia was furious. she swore she'd 'beat the snot out of them' (that's why they were named 'boogey'man, right?) and make sure they got what was due to them. it was just..the matter of finding them. if she had a cloth, a pen, something they'd touched before, tracking them down with her nose would've been easier. but, dreams didn't exactly have a smell. and so, that was what presented their first hurdle. thankfully, she wasn't alone.
approaching a table at a late-night cafe, she grinned as she finally appeared at their 'meeting place' - she was...a bit late. punctuality was never her thing. but, there, her 'assigned partner' sat - and those ever familiar silver eyes gave it all away. "long time no see, pretty eyes." leaning closer to where her bangs fell forward, framing her face whilst her golden eyes - that seemed to almost glow within the darkness of the night - leered about, her grin turned into an almost harsh smirk. "ready to beat some ass and make some cash?" ah, indeed, that was one of her favorite things to do.
[attr="class,"memoryDarkbody"] There he sat in a mostly empty cafe, alone and waiting for his partner to arrive. Though partner wouldn't be the word he'd use. More like, acquaintance, for now anyway. Regis hardly knew anything about her. It was just his curiosity in her that made him accept the proposed mission. [break][break] Despite her love for making memorable entrances, it seemed she wasn't the type of girl to arrive on time. How disappointing. Though he'd remember that for the next time if there was a next time. [break][break] He pulled down his half-mask so that he could drink the freshly brewed tea that he ordered. Seconds later, his nose perked up as it caught her familiar scent once again. His eyes looked up from the table in a half-glare as he stared her down as she approached. "You think that makes up for you being late?" His tone was sarcastic. [break][break] "I'm almost as pumped as you are. Do you have any idea where their headquarters might be?" Regis had no information on their current whereabouts. "I figure they'd have to be stationed close to the Nobels, as I doubt their magic possesses a huge range." He rubbed his chin with the top of his hand while he continued to think.
"eh? nah. my undeniable attractiveness does though." elysia answered bluntly, a cocky smirk making its way onto her face as she offered the male a wink. taking a seat on the table and crossing her legs, she had little qualms about swiping his tea and beginning to sip at it. all the while, her eyes were narrowed in thought. she hated assignments like this that required 'tactic' and 'thinking'. she was far more suited for just breaking stuff. "this'd be so much easier if we had something to track them with via scent," the dragon slayer groaned slightly. but, there was no point in dwelling on the 'ifs' and 'wishes' of what they didn't have. they just needed to work with what they did.
"that narrows down the area. if the city lord's wife is a popular target...lets investigate around there. i doubt the guy just sits there waiting for her to fall asleep. we can see if anyone's noticed any suspicious activity or people around and try and track em' from there." she suggested, setting the tea down soon afterwards.
"that tea...was gross by the way. you need way more sugar." of course though, the cup was empty.
regis valeria // tbh i winged tf out of coming up with a solution lmao
[attr="class,"memoryDarkbody"] She was an aggressive woman who had a knack for breaking things. Her attractiveness may have been undeniable, however, all he could think about was the men she probably scared with her dominant personality—all for the better he assumed as she needed someone who could match that energy. Elysia had the bravery to just snag his tea. Though, what was he really going to do? It wasn't really an issue in his eyes. [break][break] "What are you, a dog?" He continued with his sarcasm. [break][break] It was true that the wife was a popular target, but the two of them already knew that the gang's settlement would be close to where the King and his family slept. As they continued to talk, his silvery eyes noticed a suspicious person in the cafe talking to the owner across the room from them. He had an insignia that was similar to the one that the boogeymen used. It couldn't be that easy to find them, could it? [break][break] "You need to stay away from sugar, anyway that tea wasn't for you." Regis pointed to the guy he had been eyeing for the past few minutes. "Look at that, is that their symbol? We should follow him." He whispered to her. It was their only lead for now and whether it led anywhere, they'd find out eventually.
"i might be, a certain...friend of mine loves calling me 'she-bitch,'" the words were more of a mutter to herself more than anything, despite the little chuckle that came from her throat. sticking out her tongue and scoffing, her golden eyes immediately flickered over to the man he mentioned, giving a nod to confirm his thoughts. that did certainly look like the insignia, yeah. "good eye," she whispered back.
"wouldn't it be easier to just grab and threaten him to give us the details? electricity can be surprisingly good for that." she casually spoke of terrorizing their possible victim as she slowly rose from her seat, giving a subtle stretch despite keeping her eyes locked onto their target. she made note to remember his scent as she took in several deep breathes. if he somehow got away, tracking him might've been important later.
several minutes passed, until, finally, their target made his move. hands stuffed in her pockets, elysia followed suit. several times, she had to remind herself to fall back, and each time she did, an annoyed grumble left her lips. Following someone like this really wasn't her forte. it felt so..sneaky. it'd be so much easier to just confront the bastard and beat him up.
[attr="class,"memoryDarkbody"] Her friend certainly had a way with words he thought to himself. Regis imagined the kind of friends a girl like her would have. They would probably terrorize him to no end. "You are incredibly tactless. Not everything can be done with brute force, you know?" [break][break] If there was one thing she was extremely good at other than fighting, it was her way of tracking. Though they both possessed the same capability to track scent, her experience in doing so was far greater. Maybe she lived in the forest at one point? [break][break] Regis couldn't help but be amused as he watched her attempt to match his movements when it came to tailing a person. He was far the better man for this type of job. It was something he was taught by his mother, and then further reinforced when he joined Nilfheim. Trailing someone was a technique that required great attention to detail as well as light feet. "Stop grumbling." Regis whispered to her. He had to put his hand on her shoulder a few times to keep her from moving too far ahead and ruining the entire plan. [break][break] It felt like they walked from one end of the city to the other before the man finally came to a halt and made a right into a dark alley. Regis stopped Elysia from going on ahead and motioned to her that he would look first. He took small, noiseless steps forward before peering into the dark alley. The man was being let into a door that appeared out of nowhere in the middle of the alleyway on the wall. They had placed the door under some kind of camouflaging spell. [break][break] "Elysia it's your lucky day. You get to break into their base! Time to put your destructive powers to use." Even though both of them possessed highly destructive magic, Regis recognized the entertainment she received from doing these kinds of things. He walked with her to where he saw the guy enter, and stepped back allowing her the space to do her best work. "This goes without saying but, we're going to raid and knock them all out. We're only capturing the leader."
